Father’s Day Gift Guide

When it comes to Father’s Day, I have lots of great ideas for DG because he likes a million different things.  I ordered him this reversible griddle.  DG loves to cook in cast iron pans and I hate cleaning them.  He wanted a cast iron grill for his steaks and I thought this was great because it can be used for steaks or breakfast foods on the smooth side.  Another bonus is that it covers two burners, so you can cook more on it than in a regular pan.  We can also use this in our camp trailer or out on the BBQ while we’re camping this summer.  I was a little bummed that I didn’t get to pick a color since that is always the most exciting part of choosing a Le Creuset item, but it wasn’t for me anyway!

Runner up ideas:

For the outdoorsman:

Coleman propane stove

GPS/heart rate monitor watch – to be completely honest, DG has mentioned wanting this watch because of the GPS feature.  This is the one he’s looking at, but I would prefer doing more research and maybe getting something American made that we can operate more easily.  I don’t really know why he wants the watch, but whatever.

Badlands binocular case – these are the best.  I’m sure DG and I will both get a pair before hunting season starts this year so I decided something we will get anyway would make a boring gift.

For the cook:

Lazy Susan – my mom has a beautiful copper Lazy Susan next to her stove where she keeps her most used spices, olive oil, vinegar, etc.  DG has always wanted one since seeing hers, but we don’t exactly have space next to our stove so I decided I’ll wait and order this once we build and get moved.

Hamburger patty press – how nice would it be to have uniform patties when you BBQ burgers for company?

For him to wear:

Boat shoes – I know that DG would never buy these himself, but they would look good for casual/vacation/shorts days and I think he’d actually like them.

*bonus idea, but something DG already has so I couldn’t give it to him!- Bex suglasses – DG has a couple different pairs of Bex glasses, but these squared aviators look dang good on him.  They are classy and look nice when you’re going out.

What are you giving the dad(s) in your life?  Hopefully my ideas can give you some inspiration!
