Friday Five

Hello lovelies!  Are you as excited for the weekend as I am?  Let’s get started with my favorite things of the week!

ONE

DG and I went to the Utah Valley Parade of Homes to get some ideas for building as well as find some different contractors to have bid our project.  Most of the houses were white trimmed, with grey toned walls.  I loved them.  They were very in-style and had such a clean look.  Some of them even had a be achy feel (which is weird considering that we live in a desert!).  DG and I are planning to build a more rustic, craftsman style home, with dark woods.  I think white trim would get way too dirty and banged up with the members of my family.  We saw the most amazing walk-in closet that I’ve ever seen, complete with a TV and workout area.  It was honestly the size of some small bedrooms.  We also saw a lot of cool bathrooms and kitchens.  This was the only house that I absolutely loved though..I wanted to just sell everything we have at home and move in.

I’m obsessed with Snapchat at the moment.  I finally figured out stories and how to friend people so I’ve been having fun posting all sorts of random stuff each day.  Most of it is baby or ranch related since I don’t have friends and do fun stuff, but whatever.  I make an ass out of myself and it’s cool.  Come find me if you want:  angsamp.

THREE

I’m a giant cow since having EJ.  Not even joking.  In an effort to start getting my body back, I’m trying to drink [more] water, eat less junk and eat fewer carbs.  I still have my binging moments, but at dinner I’ve been really good to only eat the meat, veggie and salad.  This week my favorite healthy meal was broiled salmon seasoned with lemon pepper, a side of sautéed green beans and broccoli and a green salad with oil and vinegar dressing (not pictured).

FOUR

I’ve been an eyelash extension wearing girl religiously for the last 3 years.  Unfortunately, since going to girls where I live locally, they don’t stay on as well as my original lash gal and I’ve had to start going every 2 weeks.  Honestly, that’s not very feasible for me.  So now I’m going to DG’s cousin who is new to lashes, but she does a good job and hers have lasted about 3 weeks.  They aren’t as full as they once were just because she’s slower as a result of being new so she doesn’t have time to make them quite as thick, but she’s convenient, works with my schedule and they last longer, so she’s my new go-to.  I bought mascara for the first time in a couple years to supplement the eyelashes that don’t have extensions on them and I’m glad that Maybelline didn’t disappoint.  It was my favorite drugstore mascara prior to eyelash extensions and it’s still just as good.

FIVE

This appears to be turning into a beauty post. #sorrynotsorry  My mom coincidentally turned me on to this dry shampoo after her hair dresser recommended it.  It’s super cheap and works great!  It doesn’t leave my hair feeling gritty like a lot of dry shampoos that I’ve tried.

Well that’s all I have.  I hope you all have something exciting planned for the weekend.  I’m going to a wedding and probably going to help DG turn cattle out on the mountain.  I’m looking forward to an afternoon on my horse!
