Friday Five

We made it to two years of marriage.  I’m not going to lie and say it’s been easy.  We’ve had ups and downs, but there’s no one with whom I’d rather do life.  There’s also no one else who would understand not celebrating our anniversary because I was out of town at doctor appointments for EJ and he was on the mountain working.

My girl got her name carved in the tree at the salt drop off spot.  DG carved BG’s name in this tree the first time BG when with him to haul salt, so he was extremely excited to take EJ with him so her name could be added to the tree.  It’s really hard to see right now, but by next year it should be looking better!

DG has trail cameras in a few different places on the mountain, trying to see what bull elk may be there.  This picture of a bear is both neat and scary at the same time.  The sow is huge.  In the second picture you can see her track next to a horse hoof to compare the size.  She has 3 cubs and they teamed up against a cow to kill it.  (You can see the dead cow behind the sow in the picture.)  The bear came back to eat off the cow for 3 more nights before getting curious enough about the camera that she tore it down off the stand!  Trail cameras are really neat to be able to take pictures at night and withstand curious bears.

I love that when we camp DG cooks [nearly] everything himself, on the grill.  It makes my life easier and keeps the camp trailer clean!

I love the gorgeous views on the mountain.  BG has become a great little salt packer.

What are you doing this weekend?  We’re going back to the mountain, go figure!

SPRING oh hey friday_zpsual7vhsf
