Vegas Fashion!

So the NFR has already come and gone. I feel like our trip was way too short.  We didn’t have any downtime and didn’t even do a lot of things we usually try to do–like visit the M&M Factory (a favorite of BG and myself), walk through the MGM for old times sake, see the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay or check out the Bellagio Conservatory.  We did shop at Cowboy Christmas, and I made it to Saks one morning, but it doesn’t even seem like we shopped as much as usual.  We watched my brother-in-law rope in the World Series of Team Roping a couple days, which honestly took up a lot of our time, and then the last two afternoons were spent at the Cinch Chute Out, which was a smaller rodeo where contestants were invited based on their world standings or just being former champions.  It was fun, but a little too much rodeo for me and EJ to sit through.  We also went to the NFR every night too.

My favorite aspect of going to Vegas for the NFR is dressing up.  I’d say that my style was pretty much what I wear on a daily basis but with some “cowgirl glam” mixed in.  Cowboy boots are an obvious, but I also wore fringe, leather and fur.  I just love seeing all of the different looks at the rodeo and walking around Cowboy Christmas.  This year my sister in law Page and I shopped together for Vegas over Thanksgiving so we had a pretty good idea of what we planned to wear.  It ended up being warmer than we expected though, so many of our outfits had to change to be weather appropriate and we shopped in Vegas, adding to our wardrobes.  It was so much fun!  Every morning I’d wake up and check out the fashion posts on Instagram from the night before and the few days that Page and I were “featured” for our outfits was pretty exciting!

Without further ado, for those who didn’t follow my daily Instagram postings, here are some of my favorite NFR outfits that I wore:
