Friday Five

I have so many loves right now that it’s going to be hard to narrow it down to five!

Nobody knows what in the heck JT was wearing during the Super Bowl Halftime on Sunday, but I’m still a fan girl.  I’ve been listening to his new album on repeat this week.  As a bonus, the baby seems to enjoy it too.  The music is really catchy and happy, even if some of the lyrics are dumb.

My phone dies almost every day.  It’s probably because I’m on it too much and typically don’t even have a charger in the car with me, so I LOVE the new Apple watch with mobile capabilities.  It’s been so nice if I’m out running errands or driving the kids to their activities to know that if my phone dies people can still get ahold of me.  Last fall I was taking Eleni to dance class while waiting for BG to call me to pick him up after scouts (usually these happen within 5-10 minutes of each other) and my phone died and I didn’t have a charger so I was panicking that he wouldn’t know what to do when he couldn’t reach me.  So I love the watch!

DG and I just finished binge watching 6 seasons of Scandal on Netflix.  It’s so dang good!!!  I’ve had so many people tell me it was good over the years but for some reason or another we never watched it.  I haven’t been watching the current season and will probably just wait and watch it all at once, but I’m definitely disappointed it’s going to be over.

Steak + lobster = happiness.  While we were in Las Vegas we stayed at the South Point Hotel & Casino because it’s easy to get in and out of and self park–all of which are really important when you have kids with you.  DG and I both wanted a good steakhouse dinner and the Silverado Steakhouse didn’t disappoint.  A bonus to dinner was that Eleni and Vasi were both so dang good in there!  It’s always a little nerve-racking to take kids into a steakhouse knowing that 99% of the patrons are dining child-free and that the service will be slow, but they did really well!

I’ve been having so much fun with this letter board!  BG was really into changing the phrases himself (and even coming up with funny things on his own) for a little while, but now that the newness has worn off, I’ve been in charge.  We try to change it up every few days.  If you have a letter board and are still putting the letters in the little bag that they come in, get a small container and sort them.  I promise that it will save you so much time.

That’s it for today.  Cheers to the weekend!!
